when you ask someone from Rotterdam something about Rotterdam or say something about Rotterdam, 9/10 times you will hear that they speak really protective about their city. And that they are proud of it. For me that was the most beautiful research i found about Rotterdam. I think it's beautiful the way that Rotterdam people are proud of their city and also not afraid to speak that out. But they also got to show it!

So i designed a family of harness accessories that are made out of plastics from the streets. So when you wear these harnesses you will figural and also latterly protect the city.

First i started with looking for some inspiration. From that point i started with making dummies. After i decided with three models i wanted to make i started collecting plastic trash. After i had enough, i sorted it out on color. From a experiment, i knew i could weave with the plastic. i started cutting strokes and started weaving on my self made woven tool. But i did not had enough pull tension. So i started with a mother tool. With this tool you could make the tension every time a bit tighter.

When they where done i did a photoshoot in the city. And with one of the photo's i made a poster with. I also made a persona that would buy this object.

Then i started with designing the packaging. The harnesses are made from plastics from a specific area in Rotterdam. for every area is a different pattern on the packaging. Made one for the central station area. On my hot glue you can see the whole process and also my price calculation.
